About meI am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Quinnipiac University. Before this, I was a postdoctoral researcher, first, with Dr. Kendra Sewall at Virginia Tech, investigating the neural and endocrine bases of territorial aggression in wild songbirds, then with Dr. Jenny Ouyang at the University of Nevada, Reno examining how physiological traits of birds are adapted to urban life. My postdoctoral work extends my doctoral research on urban avian ecology with Dr. Pierre Deviche at Arizona State University, which sought to understand how birds adjust the timing of reproductive development when living in urban areas.
